CLEANING AND CARE:
Each gem has its own specific characteristics that pronounce its unique beauty and demand special attention. For the most part, most precious gems have a moderate scratch resistance and a fair resistance to chipping and breaking. Care must be given to ensure that most precious gems are not exposed to direct blows or abrasives. Some precious gems may become damaged with frequent exposure to house-hold cleaners or intense light. Most precious gems should be cleaned with a mild soap and water or may be cleaned in a jewellers ultrasonic cleaner. Consult the list below for brief cleaning instructions on the most common precious gems found in our store.
