The name Garnet comes from the Latin word “Grantatum” meaning pomegranate. This is no surprise as the most common colour is a rich reddish-brown. Garnets can also be found in purple, pink, pure red, brown and even white.

In ancient folklore, garnets were among the most prized ornamental jewels. Stimulating devotion from friends, families and lovers. Today it is still known as a symbol of love and compassion.

Garnets are fairly tough, making them perfect for everyday wear and durable enough for all jewellery styles. You should not submit your jewellery to hard blows or rough wear (construction, harsh chemicals, etc).
